Lower Junction Construction Update

West Towns – 20 Perth Avenue

Work is progressing at a fast pace at the West Towns site. At the north end of the site, crews have been pouring concrete for the lower levels of the town homes. On the south end of the site, concrete footings are completed. Forming work will be completed, progressing from north to south.

Municipal servicing work is expected to commence within the next two months. A notice will be circulated to the community prior to work commencing and the information will be posted at

As work progresses, care is being taken to ensure there are no significant traffic impacts in the neighbourhood.

 

Auto Building – 158 Sterling Road

The Auto Building’s interior restoration work has made great strides this month. The installation of studs and drywall continues throughout the building, including the floors that will be used by the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto.

Electrical work and piping for plumbing services and sprinkler systems being installed throughout the building. Ceiling lighting fixtures are being installed and concrete sealing and polishing continues on multiple floors.

On the north exterior of the Auto Building, concrete forming is underway for the storm water management tank and sanitary sewer connections. This work will continue through the balance of the month.
